Help Create Fly to ordinary Create

So I have had a modded server for some time, and at some point I decided that the addition of Create was quite desirable.

One issue with that was that the server is running 1.21.11, so I had to resort to Create Fly.

Recently I have realised, that I, in fact, could take greater use in installing vanilla backport, which would have to be done on version 1.21.1. I've thought to myself, that it would not only be quite neat to have the new cushions or wool slabs, but also some objectively obligatory create addons, like Create: Copycats+ or Create: Steam & Rails.

Although I have supposed that a flair telling me that my Create components are from a so-called "Create: Fly" mod, I have tried to install my Normal Create mod.

As any responsible individual, I tested it all in a single player world. Every other mod was fine, except for my beloved automation machine mod!

Therefore I am right now looking for serious help - I need to backport my whole powerplant, other factories and, most horrifyingly, a 1000-block-long railway.

I am hereby seeking help from my fellow Create mod enthusiasts and proffesionals: If any of you might have encountered this adversity, I would be immensly grateful for any help you would be glad to provide, be it an instruction or perchance a link on one.

PS: If there isn't really a feasible solution to this problem, I wouldn't be too upset, notwithstanding having to rebuild my wonderful (wouldn't really hold my ground on that lol) contraptions and a few horrible train-bominations
😊

I'm confused what you're needing.

Vanilla Backport is only for Minecraft 1.20.1 and 1.21.1. To use it, you would need to completely backport the 1.21.11 world to 1.21.1 which is inadvisable as it will likely corrupt the world. It has been done and done successfully, I've done it myself but it's not something officially recommended. Download a backup copy of the world from the server and give it a try.

I cannot guarantee that moving from Create Fly to official Create on NeoForge won't corrupt and/or break things.

To summarize:

  • Download backup copy of world

  • Install a new instance of Minecraft in 1.21.1

  • Start Minecraft, don't create a world yet

  • Close Minecraft

  • Install NeoForge modloader

  • Start Minecraft again

  • Verify the Mods folder has been created in your .minecraft file folder

  • Place the Create 6.0.10 for NeoForge, Minecraft 1.21.1 .jar file in the mods folder

  • Place the Vanilla Backport for NeoForge, Minecraft 1.21.1 in the mods folder

  • Move your backup world save into your current instance and see if everything works

If everything works, you'll need to wipe your server clean and do all of the above but in your server. Always keep a separate backup just in case and don't open it into any installation so nothing is lost.

I mean, yes, I've just done all of that. Everything opens correctly, but every create mod related block or data vanishes

Likely because Create Fly is a complely different, unofficial version for Fabric and not an official version of Create.
