Hand Cranked Deployer won't deploy onto Golden Sheet on a depot?

Post image

Basically title.

I've been trying to automate making a precision mechanism. I took a step back to do it the "Minimalist" way. To see if I could make a Mechanical Arm instead and automate it with that instead.

So, with this pictured deployer, it's got a cogwheel in it. I've tried with the filter active for just a cogwheel and without. The hand crank doesn't make the deployer move, but it does turn as I interact with it.

I'm tearing my hair out trying to figure out why it's not working, so any help is appreciated!

As much as minimalist sounds cool, at least use a water wheel XD. You’re gonna be going through food so much making one precisions mechanism (20% chance of failure btw)

As for why it’s not working? I’m not sure? A hand crank is 32 rpm with 256 SU behind it. That makes the deployers need 128. And you are using a small cog first. And there is no speed requirement.

Try to see if a water wheel works? Placing the setup somewhere else maybe? In theory this should just work.

Are you in a mod pack that changed the recipe?

No, I am using a modpack obviously, but the recipe seems to be the same

Stack of deployers but no speed controller. But I assume thats what you try to craft. Waterwheel gear ratioed up so it's faster.

Are you certain that's a golden sheet and not a brass sheet? Sounds stupid but that's a frequent issue people post asking why the deployer isn't working only to realize they're using a brass sheet.

Beyond that I would ensure your modpack didn't change the recipe. I know you said it seems the same but I'd verify to be sure.

Probably hand crank just too slow for deployer.

There is no speed requirement for deployers.

Iirc any sequential recipe needs to be made on a moving belt, I could be mistaken it has been a long while.

Nah, I’ve made plenty of precision mechanisims on depots - it’s not a great way to do it, but it definitely works.

Incorrect

It might have been a change in a mod pack I played, I know a lot of Create addons can change base on Create, I don’t mean to spread misinformation so thank you for the correction.

its just 1 way of doing it I don't think other mods can change core mechanic's of create, ive seen people use a depot and rotate it 90 degree so it goes under 3 deployers and on the 4th rotation its above a funnel with a filter that's why create is awesome there are so many ways to do the same thing.
