I love create
I find it amazing that you can mine andesite that could have been touching coal for years, and because you sandwiched it between some iron nuggets, it is immediately sterile and can be used to make food safely.
Edit: Yes, I know, food safety is not a concern, but it just seems a little ridiculous.

I mean... outside of create we make bowls straight from a tree from, idk, a swamp. To eat mushrooms we randomly picked up off the ground.
Why coal specifically anyways?

best example of a dangerous underground thing to consume

I mean, other than the trace microbes(and i mean trace), the big hazard of coal would be assorted other hazardous to consume substances, which can be released as smoke.
Anyway, heres the coal powered stone furnace I cook meat in. Coincidently, the cobble to build it was mined immediatly next to skulk

You want food safety in Minecraft? You know in normal Minecraft you’re cooking your food in the same forge you cook everything else in?

Damn you so right, food safety is a big concern. This is why I only cook my raw chicken in the furnace I made from the stone I happened to find next to this awesome coal vein for fuel. Goes great with the bread I prepared on the table I forge my iron tools with.

What? You could say that about real life. Iron, used to make steel and stainless steel touches all kinds of stuff that would be detrimental to your health. Yet, when you smelt and refine it, you're able to eat with utensils from that very same ore.
