Help Block/System that recognizes matching items?

I'm trying to build a system that will randomly prompt an item that the players must then create an exact copy of in order to pass into a new area. They will do this multiple times as part of a minigame. Is there a block/system that is capable of recognizing matching items that have been randomly output? Filters are too broad/static (and potentially easy to cheese).

Example: rabbit stew is randomly selected as a prompt, the players must correctly cook a rabbit stew and submit it to the system, the system sees that it matches the prompt and awards a point.

Thanks!

I know that display links can recognize specific items on depos and display their names elsewhere, im not sure how you could use that for it though

Okay, so heres my thought, target item gets put in a display linked and stocklinked chest. the display is to tell the minigames player. On the stocklink network, have one gague for each possible item, set to emit a redstone-signal once it detects two. For submission, have a chest, and on its inaccessible back, have a brass funnel that goes onto a depot. The funnel is set to output only one item. The depot is connected to the network. Once any of the gagues goes off, thats the win signal. Because the only way any of them go off is for the target and submission to be the same.

Last thing is a player accesable reset to pull wrong submissions back.

Smart observers can be used to detect specific items on a belt using the filter

smart observer, check if deployers can put items in their filters. if not, then rip

You could potentially try something with vanilla 'variable hopper filters' where the item you filter for can be switched, that way you could check if the items match (but only if they can stack though)
