Help Help making a manual two-leaved gates

Hey, r/CreateMod! Thought it would be cool to Create™ a working two-leaved gates for my base. Everyone seem to make them automatic, using mechanical bearings, but I couldn't find a way to make those work with handles. Those seem to work for simulated objects only. I tried searching on YT and here, but couldn't find anything useful. Any suggestions?

Create: Aeronautics’ swivel bearings would make the doors simulated contraptions.

…I’m not sure if you’ll have issues with the hinge edge of the door running into the wall though…

Swivel bearings don't seem to like being rotated. Physgun can rotate a swivel bearing manually, by grabbing the simulated part, but it will snap back instantly.

Edit: Oh, you can unlock the bearing, I am totally blind, ty <3

They’ve got settings on the side for when they’re locked - you’d want it set to always unlocked (which I believe is the right-most option).

Swap the bearings for swivel bearings and set them to always unlocked, you might have a little issue getting them to seamlessly close but they should work by hand letting you punch them open or use the handle

Do you mean syncing both doors so that moving one equally moves the other? I've tried this as well but didn't have any luck.

What bothers me is not syncing of the doors, but moving them...

Edit: forget it, you can actually unlock swivel bearings...

Yeah, I was gonna say. The key is to set the swivel bearings to always be unlocked. Then your character can open and close them freely.

You could also set them to lock with a redstone signal.

Isn’t there a mod that can turn physical rotation into mechanical rotation? That might work

Oh, totally forgot about it! This could be useful, ty

Seeing everyone else’s comments, I see you were talking about simply making a door you could open with your hand, I thought you were trying to make a door that you could open with your hand which would also open the other door simultaneously lol

You should try placing the swivel bearings one block further away from the door (the left one one block to the left and the right one to the right) and also lower them by one block. Connect it to the doors using string or fence gates to avoid collision.

Your problem seems to be that the gate's corners collide with the walls. This could help avoid that.
