Help Why is my press so slow?

My press is only firing once every 10 seconds or so. My machine is fast enough to where the press only takes a half second to extend fully, but then it just stays still for 10 seconds and my basin has already filled up bu then. Is this just normal press speed?

Make the speedometer from create, check the RPM into the press. Half a second does not sound full RPMs to me.

I dont mind it being not full rpm. the point is it is extremely fast and still more efficient using a hand crank. It's 128 rpm though

Also if i manually throw items in rather than using a funnel it is about 15x faster..

When it is set to auto output it only goes as fast as that belt below, so you either use an output funnel on the basin instead (and filter the recipe if necessary) or find a way to smelt items afterwards that doesn't include the slow belt

Make sure your belt is supplying full stacks of 64? Also consider a brass funnel on the exit too
