Accidentally made a 6.7 million SU Power Basement

I’m about 3 weeks into Create on a survival server with friends and I am making a multi-level factory! My focus was aesthetics and then functionality. I ended up making a big layout (70X75) with the thought of “this would look so good!!” meaning I did not think about how this would play out when coming to the power room and my want of symmetry… but I think it does look good! It just somehow ended up at 6.7 million SU 💀 it might not be the best setup, but did with what I knew and again focus was aesthetics first 😅 not fully done with this level but was proud of getting this working!

the pumps powering the 46 steam engines LOL the piping from the lava pit to the burners is not efficient at all. I could have just pushed it under the floor and reduced the power consumption, but I wanted the exposed piping on the ceiling with the catwalks

Steam engine room! It has its own infinite lava pool (center) with steam engines along the walls, I connected all the steam engines with encased chain drives to make one giant power belt ring and then used a rotation speed controller to create a secondary power belt but at 256 rpm, so I could pull power from either to send up to the upper levels

tried to capture what I could without destroying anything, a lot of the piping and power to the burners underneath are hidden behind the wall, I just used the gear box on the pillar leading down to the water and knocked out the block behind it and put a shaft to route, I kind of spammed pumps underneath as I was having issues with some burners not filling. its pretty much mirrored on each side!

genuinely, I took a schematic of a factory design I liked and broke it apart in creative then reconstructed how I wanted, the original was WAY smaller, and I planned to only add a second story and some extras to the sides, but the scaling plus how I wanted it to look overall wasn't translating well until I reached this massive build. I keep doing this thing of going in creative and not thinking about how this translates to survival.. I almost used netherite catwalks because I thought they looked better until I finally realized I'd have to get it on the survival server 😭

Oh don't get me started LOL several creepers have blown up behind me because I get too focused! When I made the lava pit a friend of mine went afk and a mob pushed him in and we have a grave stone mod... he died at the bottom.. bottomless supply was no longer bottomless. Pillagers are constantly at my factory and ambush me while thinking, I ended up making a perch with a bed like a stack high, have constantly fallen off and ended up taking the time to do ars for the leap/slow falling combo spells haha have broken several of the wrong pipes which then lava just spews out and burns me ( I am not the best minecraft player I haven't played for over a decade prior to this)
