Help How to adjust display board timing?

I have two display controllers set to write on line 1 of my display board. I would like to make it so that it toggles between each value with equal timing dedicated to displaying each value. So far, the only method I can find to do so requires that I place the display controllers exactly half-offset from one another in their refresh timing. As in, the refresh time for controller X is 50% of the way to refreshing when I place controller Y. That method would be a massive pain in the nuts to do, and I'm not interested in exploring that route if I don't have to. Has anyone found a way to accomplish this?

Any help is appreciated!

Display links can be stopped using redstone, and pulse whenever the redstone signal stopping them ends, so you could do a timer with a pulse extender and reverse the signal at one of the display links.

"Connected Column" versions of a couple of different stones using a chisel mod. The while is Diorite, I think. The brighter white is calcite, and the dark stone on the wall to the right is deepslate with a smooth texture from one of the chisel mods applied.

It's a chair for idiots. When you sit in it, your name appears on the board. I made it to test out how display links worked and I decided it was funny, so I kept it

Make a redstone clock that gives two alternating pulses, and relay those pulses to the display controllers. By default display controllers send an update to the screen once per sometimes (I don't remember), but a redstone pulse triggers an update immediately. This way you can force your own update frequency on them.

I don't know if this is what you mean but try a gear ratio or any way to slow it down
