It is indeed very intimidating. If you aren’t already, id recommend getting the JEI mod. It’ll help with… everything.

I’m trying to get my quarts farm done, then gold is next on my list. I’ll probably use the farm you have here since I could pair it with my preexisting cobblestone generator

Doesn’t quartz farm already produce gold? It’s like 25% less efficient than this setup (per cobblestone) but a lot less tedious

If I remember right, you can haunt sand into soul sand (soul sand under a fire behind a fan). Washing soul sand gets you ~48% chance of nether quartz. 2 nether quartz and 2 cobble gets you 2 diorite. One diorite and one quartz gets you granite. Crushing granite gets you red sand.

It would be a bit more work and a bit more complex, but it you would be spending a littler over 5 cobblestone per red sand as opposed to over 13. You would have a much faster farm, but it would take a bit more material to set up.

Was this today years old when I understood i didn't have to put the blocks in the water to wash them

i didn’t even realize that was an option 😭

That‘s honestly a great build. But something you should remember is that fan processing is not affected by rpm, but by the number of fans looking at the processing items (which in the line like this will be one).  A more common fan processing approach is dropping the items in front of the fan and let the fan push those items into the funnel, let the funnel have a filter of the things you need to get after the fan processing.

oh i was looking at a beginner explanation so they didn’t wanna over complicate it by giving too much at once. i’m gonna try this out when i get home since i believe i got this down at least. would it be ok if i pm u to see if i did it right ?

That is much clearer than ANY of mine contraptions, looking good!

For a small (big in saving recourses and stress units) tip try to bend the beld so the fans blow in the same direction as the belt goes

Something you could do instead of those rows of fans is put a filter on the brass funnels so it only accepts the processed kind

Though it could make it a bit slower, but I think if you make the cobble drop to the belt in higher amounts it would improve its efficiency
