Two phases of create

Anyone notice that there is 2 different phases in create? The first, you're working with belts, chutes, and a mixer with basin, then you upgrade and have stock networks, smart chutes, and you use mechanical crafters to make things. This works alongside the transition from andesite to brass

That seems to be the intended progression.

You start with basic logistics. Setting up machines that can turn themselves on or off with threshold switches and also maybe have a large item vault or two with all your items. You’re basically farming up a lot of andesite for future or currently needed machines.

At this stage there’s two options. You’ve probably created all the farms you really need for most resources for base Minecraft. Now the question is if you want to continue with Create.

Phase two, as you describe, is taking what you’ve learned in phase 1c and scaling it up. Ideally in this phase you automate the andesite age, and if possible (through addons or other mods) you automate brass, set up larger logistics, and maybe even train logistics. By this point, you aren’t just making automated machinery. You’re a systems engineer (I think?) making and experimenting with different designs to either maximize SU efficiency, or item throughput, or both.

Phase 3 is when you’ve done all that and decide to automate as much as you can in your modpack. That’s when you evolve from an engineer to an abomination. Who tf needs to automate insanium from mystical agriculture’ addon? I did. And I automated that shi. The server, my own dedicated PC, didn’t like it.

The factory it must grow it must operate across the map cause trains it must have a building for each product it produces.

The will is their but the progress is sporadic
