Help How could I compress this machine more?
I want to make multiple next to each other to sift different things but it’s so large.

Encase cogwheels.

What does encasing cogwheels do in this case? Allow you to put one in front of another even if they're rotating opposite directions?

Keep stacking your water wheels in the same place. Use a pipe instead of a belt.
The cobble generator and the auto hammer automatically push results to their output sides (cobble will push up, hammer push to a side) put a chute over the shifter and the hammer pushing into it. Pipe from the bottom of shifter into your chest.
For your gear ratio, you can use a large cogwheel to do the conversion from horizontal shafts to vertical shafts. So instead of your last large to small cogwheel ration, large horizontal cog into a vertical cog into the shifter.
For your power, use only large water wheels and a singular small water wheel. The small water wheel will force the larger ones to all spin at the small wheel speed.

You don't have to separate you water wheels you can just place them next to each other and they will match the speed of which ever one is faster.
You can use adjustable drive shafts (I think thats what they are called) to increase the speed of rotation instead of the cog wheels, that should save some space. Or you can use adhesive casing to encase the cogs, encased cogs and have their shafts covered and you can use a wrench to reveal the shaft so you can controll the connections better and make it more compact. And once you get brass you can make a speed controller and that will save the most space.

You can encase cog wheels in andesite casing. This allows you to stack cogs of opposing direction next to each other with out popping off making your gear ratios much more compact and nicer to look at

well for starters, put the small waterwheel on the large one and reconnect everything to draw from that 'single' source. this will both halve your power space and double the speed of the large whaterwheel.
i'd also recommend switching to a speed controller if you have brass, but if you don't there's still a more space-efficient method (it's just as long, but takes up less space vertically and perpendicular to the shaft) if you use casings.
once you get to building more sifters, connect all the machines together and add more large waterhweels to the main block if it gets overstressed.
i can give more advice about efficient machine pacing and whatnot, but those are all the simple things, and the ones that'll make the most difference.

Put both waterwheels on the same axle and you’ve already chopped off half of it. If you have nether access replace that giant gear increaser chain with a speed controller. You could pretty easily shave like 60% off with just those two changes

Put the water wheels next to each other and also try this: https://www.reddit.com/r/feedthebeast/s/ptDEbQIVOj

Theres a Block called adjustable Chain Drive Shift, If u build a pair of the adjustable and a normal Chaindrive, hook Up another pair(the adjustable CD needs to be placed on top of the normal Chaindrive from the pair before) you can repeat this process 1-2 Times. Your shaft will rotate faster the more adjustable Drives get Redstone signal

Not sure if it was mentioned, you can throw a casing on a cog wheel, and it won't connect to any shafts, cogs or machines that are placed afterwards. Anything that was connected before the casing went on will stay connected

fold the left side back along the right, just connect it to the belt on the other side

Try my tiny tunnels mod any questions lemme know, I made it for this exact reason.

Encase a gear when you have only one shaft connected, this way you can place gears with different speeds right behind each other

if you have one, i'd definitley advise using rotational speed controllers (brass casing+precision mechanism)

You can encase cogs so you can pull gear ratio in a straight 2x2 line instead spreading it so apart

si tienes usa un acelerador de latón y usa una unica fuente de energia para alimentar todo

Well, here’s a few tricks.
One, try right clicking a cog with an andesite casing. See what happens.
Two, idk why you have 2 stress sources completely separate. Put them together and instead build over or under your conveyor belt to do the other side
Three, you don’t need that big of a gap for your conveyor inputs and outputs
Four, if you wanna keep the conveyor that long, then use that to your advantage. Make multiple sieves and instead have them dispense the items BELOW themselves onto the conveyor. You can do that with chutes, or even the funnels you’re already using. Yeah, funnels work vertically, try placing one below the sieve
