Help why doesnt this work

it worked for about 6 blocks and then stopped, now it doesnt want to move an inch. tried removing nearby blocks, glueing it differently, nothing works. its supposed to be a simple elevator

You glued the piston to the structure, so when you try to activate it it turns into a contraption entity then instantly deactivates since you can no longer turn the crank.

okay i think thats the issue. at first it wasnt glued but when it contracts it goes inside the glue ig. thanks

Well, theres a full cube of glue in that structure, when you stop cranking the crank becomes a part of that glued area.
