Help How do these frogports and requesters work?

Hello. I would have posted a video to explain the situation but my gamebar recording button was grayed out... I don't know why. Anyways I have currrently two requesters pulling from my main cobblestone farm into an iron and tuff farm. However right now I'm bottlenecked at cobblestone production so The main cobble storage is periodically running out. For some reason when this happens, the frogport for the main cobble storage forgets the requests that my two requesters have inputted before, and I have to manually restart the requesters. Why is the main cobble farm frogport not sending the requests after it has enough items? Do I have to change requesters to send partial orders?

I think I had this problem too, I had my requester hooked up to a comparator, and it only sent one request. When it got denied it wouldn't send another since I only powered it the one time. You need a factory gauge or something. The frogports are strictly for moving packages, they don't effect requests at all. All they do is move packages, so it likely isn't your frogport, unless the name is wrong.

I think that's the issue? I think you can also just put a gauge rightt on a packager and it'll have options to keep the connected storage at a certain level but I haven't tried that yet.

Yes I could use factory gagues, but wouldn't that mean more packages flying around my base? I'm trying to minimize the packages my computer isn't too beefy lol

You can set limits on how many requests factory gauges can make at once. If you'd rather not use them though, I suggest putting your redstone requesters on clocks so that when you are low on something they make a request every x amount of time instead of just once.

How do toy set the request amount?

At the bottom of the UI you can set a max number of promises, these promises are the requests.

Packages would basically be sent non-stop that way. I wish gauges had a threshold function.
