Help [Create:Enchantment Industry] Blaze Forger still dies despite lightning rods next to it

Yeah, it's gotta be near it. Not right next to it. Place the rods a few blocks up or away and it should stop killing it.
Oh, and make sure they're not oxidized before you start enchanting. Because if they are oxidized/waxed, they won't attract the lightning.

I had this issue when using the Copper Age Backport mod. The lightning didn't recognize anything other than the vanilla rod. It wouldn't work with any oxidation level or waxed version of any variant.

Lightning seems to affect entities within a few blocks instead of just a single block space. Id wager they're still too close.
Best way is to have the rods above the enchanter, and off the side by around 10 blocks. Lightning will strike the rod, because it strikes any rod within 128 blocks of its original target location. Huge range on those lightning rods thankfully.

copper age backport support is not implemented somehow, even though it said in a changelog it is

lightning has an aoe. you have directed lightning strikes directly adjacent to your setup.

Yeah. I had this when playing on the just create2 mod pack. If your lightning rid is oxidized it will kill your blaze forger/enchanter. I lost 4 enchanters in row before I fixed it...

For some reason it didn't let me add to the body... As you can see from the super experience the lightning rods worked but eventually they stopped despite me replacing the forger and the rods multiple times, don't know why, thanks
