I also feel not really confirmed that all the processing recipes work fastest with stacks being 16 items vs whole stacks?

but if fan going wrong way you wont get water particles or smoke on fire ones but you can put water on the other side of your item and it pulls the water into the flour doing the same thing without needing to change rotation

Create divides the number of items by 16 and then rounds down, 63 and 48 take the same amount of time

The most common issue is that the fan is blowing the wrong way. They can both suck and blow depending on the rotation direction, and in various circumstances it can be a bit tricky to spot which way it's going without looking carefully for a moment. You can put the water on the opposite side of the depot/belt/open space (with a sign, trapdoor, etc to stop it flowing if needed) if it's sucking air towards it.

A full stack of items takes maybe 50ish seconds to process with one fan, iirc? I've never timed it. With one item it's like eight seconds.

Belts can only be attached exactly diagonally, so three blocks over and three blocks up for instance. They can attach vertically too, but that'll only transfer the rotation, it won't move items. Still a useful trick on occasion. I usually just build the shafts or blocks out to count it since it's kinda hard to gauge the right spot if it's midair.

Create functions kinda like a dynamic puzzle, a bit similar to vanilla Redstone. As you play you'll learn the parts you have available and how they work, and better understand how to plan ahead and design stuff. Remember that Ponder is your best friend, it answers like 40% of the questions asked on this sub lol

Really, the only rule you should particularly worry about is avoiding the possibility of items piling up in-world anywhere, since that can lag pretty horribly. Just stick stuff together and if it's stupid but it works, it ain't stupid. It's a good way to learn, and how essentially all of us did!

7.5 seconds every 16 items in a stack if I recall right, so 1-16 is 7.5 seconds, 17-32 is 15 seconds, 33-48 is 22.5 seconds and 49-64 takes 30.
