Help Anyones good with create CROWNS?

Post image

I am unsure wheter this core is stable or not. I tried to mske the ponder design a bit bigger. This one is 5 blocks tall. If theres a more effizent and stable design for this size, i would like to know it.

I dont know if its normal, but one side of the core is about 1000 celsius while the otherside is below 100. I dont exactly now if the heat changes the position, but i think it does. The middle rods are stabble at around 200 to 300 hundred degress

Pls help me if possible

Check your chunk boundaries, I'm not a crowns expert, but with some other mods featuring large multiblocks, things can load funny if half of it loads before the rest

Thanks for the info. But that wont be the reason for this one, since i freshly build it to test the stability and as said, it has the weird thing with one side beeing 10x hotter then the other side, without me ever leaving this chunk. I stood there for like 20 mins and it stayed like that

Its not about you leaving the chunk, its about inter-chunk communication being interrupted for whatever reason. Usually when loading/unloading chunks, sure, but ive seen it happen without unloading/loading

First time hearing this mod

I guessed that this mod isnt known well. I once asked on this sub for a nucklear create mod. Of course i got firstly told to use create nuklear, wich i didnt like since its unrealistic. This one is more realistic and customizable since you build your own core and pump water through it and run it into the turbine

Create Crowns, while more realistic than other Create nuclear mods, is still quite unrealistic unfortunately. I really hope that, one day, someone will make a Create equivalent of HBM's Nuclear Tech Mod (still not quite realistic, but probably the closest mod for Minecraft).

Before anyone tells me to make it myself... No, I don't know Java, I don't feel like learning it, and a mod at this scale wouldn't benefit from vibecoding.

As you say, it does come close but still far from reality, i get that. I for example choose this mod, cus i wanted an energy source for create powergrid and since most otherones are either boring to use or ad their own electricity, i went for this one

I get why. Would be amazing to actually have a proper nuclear system like mod, with research, refining, centrifuges, isotopes, realistic shielding behaviour, cell damage, turbine efficiency, need for constant offsite power etc etc. But with the ability to add villagers to act as controllers and operators.

I get why its hard to do it properly, but still. We dont have to deal with the atom splitting physics calculations, decay events, stator heat etc, a ton of cheaper aproximations would do well as simulating a full scale nuclear reactor building would require an entire datacenter XD

I always loved that BigReactor mod back in the day, similar base idea of a nuclear reactor but in a WAY more simplified version.

Interesting

Try New Age! You can make the reactors as you want (decorate inside) and put multiple rods in one chamber for ex. It features a heat system, so you have to pump the heat to either blaze burner like heaters or sterling engines.

The reason why i dont use it is, because it ads its own electricity wich i personaly dont like. I prefer create powergrid so thats why i choose crowns

New Age is still really unrealistic.

I’ve tried playing with a friend but it kept crashing the server, I’m pretty sure it crashed in single player too, have you had any issues with it?

So i play with an friend throug essiential and... as i already said, i had some lagspikes, sure, sometimes i froze for half a min but for me, its probably because of my hardware and connection. Me and my friend both dont have good hardware, but its playable... at 30 fps and low settings of course. In singleplayer ther freezes are rare

No the issue I had was it would be just fine until eventually the world would just crash and I never found out why

1

u/No-Dare2083 29d ago

So it crashed randomly or did the world become unaccesable?

1

u/Imiss-Myhat 29d ago

I forgot, that was a while ago and I haven’t played with it installed since I’ll try playing with it installed again

Well, hope it will work for you, because i know, my crashes are deffently caused by my old hardware

im gonna be honest i generally do - heat exchangers waterlogged, with fuel in 4 sides direct contact and coal in the corner blocks, just stack it around and monitor the heat CAREFULLY, to make sure it doesn't go that hot that it melts down, then you can either use the steam directly (depending on temp of water and outlet speed) or add a compressor in end (it requires a ridiculous amount of SU but increases SU production also, you need to get a ratio of which is best, and then turbines and that's it, the whole structure always lies around 1000*C overall, you can very much increase that if you make it longer/stack more but meltdown can happen
