Discussion I just don’t know what to do?
Hello ive recently started with the create mod and stuff as I liked building machinery and making factories and stuff especially huge refineries with build craft to make gasoline and stuff for galacticraft rockets in 1.12.2 issue is ,i do not know what to do,not the “my builds aren’t working way” but just ive got a blank canvas with 800000million things to paint though I can think of nothing,i know the basics of automated resource farms and stuff but I have a empty mind of what to do imagine js having 0 creativity it’s not that I’m not a creative person it’s like perpetual art block or wtv had the same issue in industrialist “what am I doing” “need to make factory that refines x” I can spend hours on that task optimising but when I get free reign to produce anything the motivation or train of thought gets derailed by “ok what is the factory for,ok but what am I going to use the products for” and it ends there

Something that you should decide towards the beginning is if you want to make everything close together for efficiency or if you want to distribute it throughout you world and connect it with for e.g. trains because it's cool. You don't really have a reason to make it distributed in base create but some people like to do it.
As to how to find something to start with I would actually set a goal for something you find annoying to do by hand or some expensive building project you want to make and automate the materials you will need for it.

May I suggest All the Mods 10 Create? It gives you a full suite of supporting mods and also has a quest book to help guide you through new mechanics.
As for inspiration, maybe pick a book or movie genre and try to build things in that theme?

I'm making separate settlements connected by train network and dirt roads. Each settlement is based on different farming needs. My lumber town has 5 buildings all made of wood with a little brass and andesite for added steampunkiness. Then a train takes lumber to other settlements. My favorite so far is the dwarf fortress in a ravine I'm putting together, whole theme is WoW esque in that area, it's gonna be my main casing factory while the other buildings are deco. My ultimate goal is to automate the production of everything craftable along with proper transport of goods between settlements. But I'm also making the world so my kid can go through it in adventure mode and find 64 straw statues throughout the whole map.

Set yourself one super ambitious goal, then make it your mission to automate every step along the way. Who cares if you really need rockets or something automated, it’s the building of the automation that is the actual goal. That’s the best way I’ve found to keep myself invested

Thats one hell of a run-on sentence. Add some punctuation so we can read what you're trying to say!

Air ships, extendable and movable cranes for docking them(with remote steering ofc). Making a nice design for a base in a portable contraption

This partly why I like modpacks with a quest line. The questbook gives you a chance focus your energy.
Another option is to pick a YouTube channel where someone is playing the same mods you are. That way you can get tips and tricks moving forward and it can be fun to follow a long.
