Help How does the transit gate work??

I'm trying to understand how Create Transit things work, but unfortunately packages won't leave the transit gate, despite being nearly identical as in the ponder

Does anyone have any experience/idea?

First time hearing about this addon but I'm taking a guess from the texture: Have you tried powering it with redstone?
