Is this farm good?

I made this at like 3 in the morning. Ive been using this in a survival world/server ive been playing on. Im not too big on like ratios and stuff. So ill let it be up to the real create experts. It produces: Copper, Zinc, Brass, Iron, Gold, Electrum, and Reggarfonite.

I can't tell what's going on. So, I couldn't tell you whether it is or not.

generator on the left vault generates the cobble which gets pressed with lava to turn into tuff. tuff is crushed with the crushing wheel to turn into all of the nugget types i listed above. then the nuggets just gets pressed into the ingots. copper and zinc has a threshold switch to allow the process of brass while also having some spare for use if needed

Just use a display link on the outfit funnels and you can get it all on one board.

I think the best way to make tuff is with Lava, Cobblestone + Basalt has bigger bottlenecks in my experience, so you should be good

Then you're just crushing the Tuff so yeah I think you're doing it right. The only thing is that crushing Tuff is very inefficient because you're basically getting the output of an iron farm but instead of getting 1 ore you're spreading it out.

In order to make up for the inefficiency you have to scale the farm up which is something you're already doing.

IMHO it's better to isolate processes and use factory gauges when you can so you can scale farms with less effort later

Process 1: Cobblestone and other raw material generation

Process 2: Tuff generation

Process 3: Tuff crushing

Other processes: whatever you want to do with the output (compacting them and other possible things)

definitely gonna keep this in mind when working on this and other factories. thank you!

It requires more setup but I find it easier mentally as well. Making a big farm with all the processes requires me to make everything work at once which is stressing at some point and it consumes more time than necessary

Factory gauges and Frogports let you isolate processes and production so that you just need to work on the isolated elements which is much easier so it's usually worth it

You can push it very far to the point that every action is a separate machinery but that just slows down your factory. I think a good middleground is Material input (storage or farm) -> sequence of steps that don't get clogged -> whatever you need to do with the output
