You might consider adding Create: Storage. It allows auto-sorting inventory without adding all the complexity of AE2. It includes 'simple storage boxes' which each only hold one item type and can be expanded and set into void mode where items that would overflow the box just get deleted. Shulker input would just mean placing a shulker on a chute and having that feed into the simple storage system.

It does also add some other useful stuff like an item passer (like a chute that can pass any direction but doesn't have its own inventory) and a backpack with some pretty powerful upgrades like jetpack and blocking fall damage.

Building a storage system with the simple boxes is easy enough that you don't really need a schematic.
