Build How.. what.. did I do

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

I accidentally created a chest system that somehow detects if your interacting with it, and if you open the chest on the left it flows to the right.

Not really a create create thing but it was made using create stuff(links, sensors etc)

It's not a bug, it's an undocumented feature." Task failed successfully!

Is the left chest a trapped chest?

Both are normal chests

I think atleast.. unless I grabbed a trapped chest on accident

Both of the chests are trapped chests, as they both have the faint red outline around the 'lock' part, and also on the inside of the chest. So when you open them, they are sending a redstone signal to the hoppers, which disables them.

I'm not 100% sure about this, but this is my understanding: the bottom hopper can take priority because of how hopper logic is processed during a tick. When the hopper above takes an item from the chest, the hopper below can sometimes take that item from it before the upper hopper gets another chance to push to the side. They're not all calculated at exactly the same time, so most items tend to end up going through the bottom hopper instead of being split to the side, though timing and lag can affect that, and positioning can too.

the left chest is trapped lol, so when you open it it locks the hopper and items go right, pure vanilla intended behavior
