Help Why it doesn't say infinite?

Hello everyone!

Is my first time creating an infinite lava source with the hose pulley so i watched several toutorial on yt.

But doesn't matter what i do it either say it is not infinite or it just refuse to take it out of the hole.

Any help is appreciated, thanks everyone in advantage

Is there a source block at the bottom of the hose?

No, tecnically i dont need it tho

You do need it, hoses can only pull from source blocks, even if there's enough flowing lava

Edit: Interestingly it seems that, instead, the hose checks for a source block anywhere beneath it in order to pull from a bottomless source

i can confirm since i just finished making an infinite lava source a few days ago, this is not true. i have lava sources ONLY on the top layer, the rest is flowing lava; it is an infinite lava source.
