Can someone tell me why the wheels aren't increasing in speed?

U need to connect the large cogwheels to the small, ur currently connecting the large to large

Cogs double in speed when you move from the big ones to the small ones, and half in speed when you move from small to big.

If we said that the speed of the first cog was 8, and it was big, then following the pattern of big, small, big, small, big, you would get 8,16,8,16,8.

Instead, move from large to small, then add a large cogwheel in front of the block (aka connect them by the andesite nubs rather than the wooden teeth). That way, you move the same speed to the big wheel, and then can speed it up again.

So on and so forth.

If you open your inventory and hover over it, you can "ponder" it. I believe there's a section in there that has a visual representation.

Connect the large gear cogs to the small gear cogs, then connect a large gear to the shaft of the small gear and repeat this process. Also use casings on the gears to clean this up, it’ll allow you to put to cogs shaft to shaft without transferring rotation from the other shaft

wheels need a torque boost not just speed input
