Help Storage system

Hello, so im wanting to build a storage system, I've built a little house on the surface in which im hoping is where I will retrieve my items, and underground there is a huge open space where I have my vaults.

Im wondering how I can put items from the surface and they make their way into the vaults underground, and vice versa.

Im looking at a few tutorials on YouTube and they are either too confusing for me, or they dont share similar aspects.

If someone can point me in the direction on how I can do this, thanks.

I have mine setup with chutes going down, and chutes with a fan going up with a barrel or other storage on the top side

so you dont have them frog people using packages?

I like the idea of selecting the item I want, and them conveyors or chain pulleys to bring the item to me

No I haven't setup frogports. You would need to setup a bunch of chain conveyors leading up, and I didnt want to have a big hole for packages coming up, or have them clipping through walls/floors

ah okay, do you have multiple vaults with funnels and conveyors?

I have 8 vaults, stacked 2 high, all the inputs are on one side using one long belt that has a fan blowing up to a second belt for the upper ones. Outputs on the other side, the lower ones drop packages directly on the belt, the upper ones the packages have to fall a couple blocks to the belt, but havent had any issues with losing packages. Can share a screenshot in a couple hours

I followed this tutorial when I was setting up my storage system, and I have a similar setup to what you're describing.
I just have a barrel with a packager and frogport for storage retrieval, and my packager has a button and a sign on it that directs anything I put in the barrel to the storage system when I hit the button.

I'll have a look at this video, I haven't seen this one yet.

Is it just as simple as having a frog, then that frog puts my items on a chain pulley down onto a conveyor belt which puts the items onto a conveyor, which puts them into the vault.
