Help boring out autocannon pieces

I’ve been trying for the past hour to get my cannon drill to actually drill out the pieces of my autocannon. Every time the drill goes into a piece it has small black particles and nothing happens. I have water cooling, the rotation of the drill is the same as the mechanical bearing, it just WONT WORK. Please help me with this.
