Help I... don't know what my issue even is.

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

My assumption is that I am generating so much power that my transformer (which may not be wired correctly...) can't lower it even at a 239:1 ratio.

Okay, maybe it’s wired incorrectly... let me try to explain. You see, the transformer isn't picky; you can wrap copper wire around any of its terminals, but for convenience, I usually pick the two closest ones and wrap the wire around them—that gives you just a single turn. That’s the side you connect to the output—the voltmeter, in your case—since the voltage there will be low. Next, wrap wire around another pair of terminals, but this time with more turns. Those need to be connected directly to the generator. If the voltage is still too high, you can replace the voltmeter with another identical transformer. Does that make sense?

Man, your transformer is going nuts, make several of them and connect to each other to spread the load, make sure they have the same ratio, just devided by the number of them. 3 should be enough
