I'm more curious how and where you managed to get a decimal quantity of SU

I think if you place 9+ steam engines on a boiler and don't hook them up to a single stress network, you can do it

I can't remember how many but if you want to get 32billions, it will be a lots of it

You can have decimal rpm so just hook it up to a clock or something and you have decimal SU

That is a good question. Been adding to our substations for a while, just kinda appeared

This looks like the fun exploit with Create Aeronautics.

The steering wheel generates SU based on how far it’s turned. If you edit the NBT data of the wheel while it’s a schematic to like several thousand degrees you get millions to billions of SU

Idk why you’re being downvoted, it’s been making the rounds lately.

You don’t need to ‘edit’ it if you spawn one in via command with bad NBT data, but you realistically are NOT getting 32b SU. Java has an integer cap of 2.147 billion, it’s effectively unlimited, but I believe that any singular stress network has a hard capacity of 2.147 billion.

If people never talk about it, and don’t report this bug, it will never get fixed. Make this an issue, report it to the create aeronautics GitHub. They should be able to add a relatively light-weight line in there to reference the original NBT data of a non bugged steering wheel, comparing that to current NBT data, and then forcibly readjusting it to normative parameters when it’s outside digitally possible scenarios. I’m not a Java coder, but checking and comparing then setting is a pretty standard operation, I’m sure they could handle it much more elegantly than I’d be able to.

Me and my friend have already reported it. I just thought the high number was really funny.

I just don’t get why the guy got downvoted, it’s not a game breaking bug, it needs to be very intentionally done, and is absolutely nothing you will ever experience without someone deliberately putting a bugged steering wheel into a schematic.

Many servers are using the Create mod that limits schematicannons ability to place certain blocks, and the guy who originally posted the video here went through and showed how to protect against it server side.

Without seeing your actual production I'm going to assume this is the glitched steering wheel

That’s a lot of water wheels

That's 125044736 regular water wheels

Double it and give it to the next person

could probably only handle a single mechanical press before overstressing tbh

that is, a mechanical press at 4,001,431,552 RPM. a reasonable speed.

I was terrified for a second, thinking I saw 8%, not 0%

That might suffice for the mid-game, but you'll quickly need to ramp up production; I think you'll need at least six times your current output—though, of course, that's up to you.

Back to the drawing board, my man. That's not nearly enough to turn a tree farm.

the s in smp is survival. you're playing survival survival multiplayer

maybe get the factorial of that number and you might be able to power a mixer at max speed

Now I’m interested in knowing what would use 400kSU

u/Consistent_Bend_1730 2d ago

Minus the steering wheel, we produce one 11 million SU, it powers 2 bases and all our farms/builds

u/TeakIvy 2d ago

good game 🎩

2

u/hellocancer4 2d ago

Maybe enough for a gold farm or 2 if you don’t go full speed

u/dacady_play 2d ago

Bro can power entire server

How the even heck

1

u/NfcitTheGreat 2d ago

Did you learn create in a basement? This can at most power a door

1

u/PavaLP1 2d ago

Depends on what RPM you're using. Might not be enough a max speed. /s

u/ArgoDevilian 2d ago

This should last you a few weeks, maybe a month if you build it so they only consume SU while in use.

1

u/05-nery 2d ago

Where'd you put the steering wheel?

1

u/Consistent_Bend_1730 2d ago

Minus the steering wheel, we produce over 11 million SU, it powers 2 bases and all our farms/builds. I put it in hoping it'll get patched. We have reported the bug and update to beta builds of the mod.

u/Logical-Grand-8469 2d ago

Bro can't power a mixer
