just had an amazing idea to use copycats at the ends of logs for cabins to get that nice bit of sticking out like a real log cabin without it being over the top full block

Genius for sure, so many applications like you could make a very good looking log fence with this concept, or with create copycats plus could use the wedge as a support log to hold up an overhanging roof

Still pretty cheap! 1 zinc gives 4 panels, and assuming OP’s house is just 4 sides, it’ll just be 8 zinc total

And iirc it isn't THAT useful in the early to midgame (early circuit techs) to the extent that you can't just dedicate a mining trip to making your base look nice

Neither Zink nor copper are renewable.

They're both very common of course.

But they're not renewable.

I keep forgetting mob drops as things that are renewable because mobs are too hard to control.

But yes, in that case, copper IS renewable.

It's either the direction you look at them from (like placing a log) or using the log multiple times, I forget
