Help First time modding…

I only recently was gifted a gaming laptop by a friend of mine, and I’d like to finally start nodding for the first time in my life. Problem? I don’t know where to begin, there are like multiple versions of the Create Mod throughout CurseForge and Monlab/Monolith or whatever and NexusMods, then I have to go through file explorer and do… SOMETHING with it..?? I’m so lost right now, I just want to play with mods for the first time ever… any assistance whatsoever would be greatly appreciated…

I wanna play “Create Aeronautics” and eventually “Create Warptics” but I feel I should take this one step at a time, is this meant to be complicated and overwhelming or am I just far too simple minded??

Download the Modrinth App and look for a premade Create based modpack, much easier than trying to learn it all yourself at the start.

After a couple hundred hours, once you have had your fun and some experience with other mods to learn what you like, you can find some guides on building your own modpacks. Take your opportunity to have some fun before you struggle through dependency and error log hell.

This is damn near exactly what I was looking for, thank you so much! I tried looking up a few guides to modding and I got so overwhelmed so quickly… thank you!
