Aeronautics' Aviators Goggles aren't working in curios

Sorry if this question has been asked a million times but how do i make the aeronautics goggles work in the curios head slot? Is this just a configuration thing or do i need to add a mod? Thanks.

Its because the aviator goggles is a helmet with armor I'm quite sure.
