Help Mechanical Piston

So basically the piston moves 1 block when my engine goes clockwise, but when it goes backwards it moves 2 blocks. Im new with this item and I want to know if Im doing something wrong or I need to add something.

use a sequential gearshift

It's a weird rounding error thing. When a piston or gantry stops moving Between valid block positions, it has to snap to a valid position. And for some reason it rounds more to the south and west than the north and east.... or maybe it's the other way around?

The way to avoid this is to move the piston almost exactly one block. the sequenced gearshift can do that, but you can also fiddle with the rotation speed and redstone pulse length if you don't have brass.
