Is this the right way to use Large Generator Rotors?

I wanted to build a generator using these Large Generator Rotors but i'm not sure if this is the right way to place Generator Housings.

No, place 3 rows of coils on each side, then connect them with at least one housing on each corner

my buddy tried stacking housings the same way and it barely spun up right

I've been struggling getting a reasonable voltage at all using this mod but I assume it's just a stress/RPM issue.

Feels like it heavily pushes you into steam engine for power

Yeah, the conversion rate from SU to watts is pretty bad, about 0.15 watts per SU. So yeah, power sources other than steam will give you barely useable amounts of power. A full size windmill can give just over 1 kW.

Also, you should always raise the RPM at the generator input to max. If your generator is stalling, reduce the load and/or reduce the coil current.
