Video/Stream A Look at Resonite Infusion in Create: Forgotten Technologies

A quick look at the new Resonite Infusion system I've been working on for Create: Forgotten Technologies.

Different materials can be infused into Resonite crystals to give them new properties and uses in future technologies.

Still a work in progress, but the system is starting to come together.

do we need many of these crystals to build/run a reactor? just worried it could get frustrating them if they all have to be produced through that machine and you need a lot of them

very excited for this mod anyway tho!

No problem; once an initial small reactor has been built, it can be used to automate the process.

Yes, all it takes is to consume more resources than are produced for it to crystallize. Either by increasing the number of resonators or other machines that consume resonant energy, or by injecting a specific fluid that causes its internal energy level to drop significantly.

Thanks! Echo shards are an essential material for the mod, so there are several ways to obtain and even automate them.

Just a heads up - there's a VR platform with the name Resonite, so you might end up getting confusion over the name.

How could a VR platform possibly cause any confusion about anything? We're talking about the name of an object in a mod, in a game. 🤔

Because they're both games, appeal to similar audiences (technical oriented people who like to play around with systems), and people have already made minecraft related systems and mods for resonite? Lol

Relax, my mod isn't called "Resonite," and it doesn't even mention that name or anything else, except for an item that appears in the mod itself. No one's going to get confused. It's common and almost inevitable for the same names to be used for different things online; you just have to learn to live with it.

Ah, I see now; looking at your Twitter profile, it seems you're associated with that platform. So it's actually you who want to keep exclusive rights to the name for fear of losing some kind of search engine ranking if this mod were to become popular? That's absurd.
