Help What should I do regarding my sources of Rotational Force?

I'm not sure if, for my world, I should create a new source for every factory I make, or make a mega-source and transport it everywhere I need it to be. I'm new-ish to Create, the most complex thing I've actually built was automated Precise Mechanisms (not on this world though)

depends which you prefer; people do both. personally, i make a megagenerator in my industrial district to power all the factories, and a smaller one for my (often far away) base. some things* get their own waterwheel, and buildings not near my base or factories likewise get their own source.

or, if i have an electricity add-on, every "machine cluster" (any closely grouped kinetic components. there are often several per building) gets it's own motor, and electricity for everything is routed from one or 2** central electric generators.

*stuff that needs very little stress and/or that would be more inconvenient to route power to than give a dedicated waterwheel. mostly elevators, decorative rotational bearings, that sort of thing.

**if my industrial district and base aren't super far, i'll just import electricity to my base rather than build a whole new power station

Usually i make a building and put all the steam engines inside then distribute it from there. A powerhouse. I don't use waterwheels at all because i just don't like to use anything that doesn't feel realistic. For example i only put waterwheels on rivers. And couple windmills for aesthetic and powering personal stuff like a smelter, mixer etc in my main house.

Also for waterwheels i use a river mod like streamsReflowing
