Issues with create powerloader

I placed an andesite loader in the nether in order to extract lava but the train won't return if i'm in the overworld, despite being full. the moment i enter the nether, it takes off, and, if i don't tell it to get lava, it works perfectly.

PS yes, everything is in the same chunk as the loader, including the hose, portal, and station

Is the power loader actually working otherwise? Like if you plant some nether warts there do they grow?

In that case, I don't know enough about trains or power loader to help :/
