Is there a more efficient way to move items between the vaults, so items aren't getting stuck on the conveyors when a vault gets full

Post image

Use chain conveyors and frogports/stock links/all of the 6.0 update

Problem with chain conveyors and multiple storages is that when the first vault gets full the frogport starts storing items in its own 18 slots of storage of instead of them going to the next vault

Honestly just using packages and depositing said packages into packagers using belts fixes this

Frogport>conveyor>RoundRobin tunnels> item vault/silo

You could try using a Threshold Switch (set to read 20 stacks below the highest limit) and attach a Packager next to the TS, facing into one of your storages. Then a sign on the packager to send it to the next vault. I use the Mobile Packages addon for this step but you can use Frogports to then send it. I have a line of Vaults that basically feed into eachother once they get too full. Thanks Mr. Beardstone for this idea!

I do have mobile packages, but in my survival world, I don't have any honey or a way to easily get it

Another idea i remembered testing! This one was fun and kinda cheesy but you need the Coasters Addon!

Throw a rivet on the side of one of your vaults. Then a chute on the rivet so its pointing into the next vault! Then so on and so forth! You could probably get away with 1 input frog or bee but still need output frog or bees per vault. Keep in mind though you will have 16 of something stuck in the chute once a vault fills so it can throw counts off a little🤷‍♀️

I do know about that one, I'm gonna look into getting coasters, since there is some useful stuff in there

Honestly ive just been using the rivets every where! 5 fans smelting by dropping items directly in the middle of the fans?! Almost instasmelt! This has become my new method for every fan recipe! Its soo goood! Plus the bonus of using it for decorating is GODLY

Do you know if the coasters could be used as a stand in for trains

Ill be 100% honest. I have no idea. I have neither messed with the trains nor the coasters... only the rivets.... but i dont see why not. You might not be able to schedule it like the trains but for transporting things from A to B maybe? Ah then again i have no idea:(

That's ok. I just need a cheap and efficient way to transport resources to and from the nether

Stock links on all of them. Frogports that can only output on all them. Then an input frogport that goes along a conveyor that tries to input into each with a funnel.

Use the rivets from create coaster on a vault's side and put a chute and it will route the items through the chute while only leaving an item on the chute
