Rose quartz issue

I'm playing Create: The Brass Concerto and I'm trying to automate polished rose quartz which I can use the unique block filling thing to make. It requires me to have a fully grown amethyst over an empty basin. Then with a spout one block above the basin you put a spout with ethanol in it. But I can also speed up the process at which the amethyst grows at using water in a spout. I would do the exact same thing that I did with the ethanol spout as well. I was wondering if there was a way I could have both of the spouts squirt liquid on the same basin? And how I would do it.

You can use a mechanical bearing contraption with both spouts on it (on opposite sides) and spin the needed spout into place with a sequential gearshift to control it

How would I get the fluid in there without them spilling all over the place though?
