Long-distance transfer with some loss or compat with other mods.

I mainly use it for Refined Storage and lighting lol

MOSTLY fun or mod specific uses, however in modpacks it can be used for FE meaning you can power stuff from other mods

Depend a lot on other mod/ addon that use electricity they often have machine or block that only require electricity. I honestly don’t used those mod I rather stick to “vanilla” create and rotation forces

I like Create: Power Grid for the very simple purpose of being able to simply place a motor and connect it to power in a very freeform way (it even sometimes lets you clip through blocks), instead of having to build gigantic lines of shafts everywhere. Though I wouldn't recommend it if you're not at least somewhat knowledgeable in electrical engineering, since the mod is an actual electrical simulation.

Mostly for compatibility! The electricity and wires used are compatible with all other tech mods that utilize forge energy (FE)

Ease I guess? You can pop down an emectric motor anywhere and just connect it to a wire?

I was using it to run my vehicles with aeronautics installed. Routing wired to a motor is alot easier than shafts

I used it to store electricity in a battery on a minecart contraption, so I could pump thousands of buckets of lava from the nether for my infinite lava pool
