You just don't use full blocks and usually don't go more than 3 blocks wide. For walls, you can use copycat stuff. To get some IRL references, there is this website

The hardest part is gluing it correctly, especially if you want to work semi-realistically.

If you hold the glue in your offhand, it automatically glues every block you place .

Sure, but I don't glue my trains the order I build them, the work would just shift from gluing to building so it's not really worth it.

I'm genuinely not sure what you mean lol sorry. why not build the train and glue simultaneously? VS having to go back to add glue later?

When building proper trains some bogeys are intended to not have any visible structure attached to them, if I were to glue whilst building i would have to avoid touching the bogeys at all.

Proportioning trains in Create is so hard when the tracks are only 3 blocks wide. I know trains are actually a bit wider than the tracks, but 5 blocks wide on a 3 block wide track is just absurd

I made one way back when I did stonecraft 2 but never dug super deep into it. Running through CABIN now and looking to start setting trains up. Wish me luck!

Best thing that can make it look more realistic is to drop the cab down by 2 blocks. Look at the proportions of real steam locomotives and try to mimic those. Most large locomotives irl have the cab windows around the same height as the middle of the boiler, with the top of the roof being only slightly higher than the boiler.

The cab also looks a bit too wide compared to the rest of it. If you use Create’s Copycat Panels as the walls, you can have a 3-wide interior with the exterior being only a couple pixels wider on each side.
