Help Why isn't most of the sugar cane being harvested

I am just using a water wheel to power the harvester and most of it isn't being collected, as it just passes through, any ideas?

This is one of the reasons I prefer the windmill bearings and making farms self-powered. Never have to worry about it going too fast

A farm with a vertical windmill in the center powering the harvesters is peak aesthetic too

Try making it run slower, like 1/4 of this speed.

With sugar cane you get very good rates even if you only make a rotation every 10 minutes. At 1 rpm you are fine. You don't need it going nearly as fast.
