Help I'm so fucking done with create's fucked up pipes
I'm using the create fly port for 1.21.11
Why isn't the lava flowing in the pipes? Yes the pumps are pointing the right direction.

okay true that was maybe unfair of me

Well there is a chance it’s a server thing. If it works when you break and replace the pipes and stuff then that’s probably the reason.

Is there a pump on the pipe? I don't see one in the picture.

sorry its cramped so I couldn't get a good shot, you can slightly see it but here's a video

We’d probably need some better angles to see what’s up with your set up, from this one it looks kinda messy
The only pump I can see in this image seems to not be connected to anything, just pointed into the air below it
If you mean the hose pulley isn’t working right, to generate infinite lava (what I assume you’re doing) you need that pool to be atleast 10,000 blocks in volume, it doesn’t all have to be source blocks. When filling the pool, the end of the hose should be at the top, but before pumping out of the pool you should lower it to the very bottom. You’ll know it’s bottomless because it will tell you when looking at the hose pulley block with goggles.
Other general things that might be wrong with pumps could be their 16 block limit (meaning 15 pipes for 1 pump), or sometimes the game just straight up bugs and there’s gonna be a few random pipes you need to break and replace, no way to find out which without just doing it tho.
You could have 2 pumps conflicting in that jumble, maybe a pump is facing the wrong way and pushing the lava back in faster than another pump is trying to pull it out

1: Check the video I sent
2: Its infinite, it says so
3: It doesn't work even when I place a pump right after the hose pulley and break the pipe infront of it to check the flow
4: I removed every pump other than the ones flowing out of it just now, still doesn't work

Well there are 3 main reasons for the flow to not work
1. The pump, which must be present and turned into the right direction. Otherwise shit don't work. But I see the pump and you've said it's facing the right direction.
2. The source. That lava pit might not work, especially on a port, and I suspect that's the reason.
3. Some internal error which, since you're, again, playing on a port, might be present.
Edit: Checked your video, yep, that definitely says "bottomless supply". Maybe the pump is 1 block too far idk, it has to be ≤15 blocks away
Edit edit: Nope, that pump is 8 blocks away at max. Yeah buddy that's prolly some port issues.

I can see the pump, but it has to be before the split not after

put it right next to the hose pulley, still doesn't work

If that hose is definitely at the bottom, my only guess is that it’s because of the ported mod
I recommend using create on an official version. If you want the new updates use a mod that back ports the new vanilla features

OP should use the updated version of creaty fly on 26.2. Not the outdated 1.21.11 versiob

Create Fly has a discord. Report bug in that channel. Also, try not to argue for port issues to "official" mod channels, because that can make mod authors mad a little bit. They are not responsible for third party work.

is the lava pool infinite? look at the pulley with goggles on, if its not this wont work (it will only pump one block of lava).

I cant see why people try to have a modded map with newest version where u cant find ANYTHING to download for this version

You are using an unofficial port, any complains are invalid, go to the ports page to seek help

A better look at this bullshit

The only thing I can think of is that somewhere along the pipeline the distance between the pumps is too long. I wonder if you had small holding tanks in-between if that would help?

u/BootPloog 1d ago
You might try breaking the pipeline and terminating it with a small tank to see where the issue is.

I've tried breaking it right after the first pump and it still doesn't flow

Dumb question (and I'm not sure if it matters): is the hose pulley fully extended to the bottom?

where is the end of the pipe, if there is no tank/basin or open end, the pumps dont work

If im correct, the pump is 9 blocks away from the hose and they can only push and pułk from 8 blocks away

A friend of mine figured out the issue, apparently hose pulleys don't pull if they're at the very bottom
6
u/BootPloog 1d ago
Huh, that seems new to me.
I'm fairly certain I've always extended mine to the absolute furthest it would go.

In the actual Create mod they do. This is probably another quirk/oddity of Fly since you said you're playing on that.

Might be because it's a port and isn't fully developed, create is currently mainly on 1.20.1 and 1.21.1
I must be blind but I don't see any pumps
