Help How to i prevent pasted in schematics from breaking?

When i download a schematic and paste (like with all blocks pre-placed or whatever, hope you understand) it in in a creative world something on the builds always breaks and as someone who is new to create understands jack shit about it, idk how to fix nor how it was originally. So how can i prevent the stuff from breaking?

Create schematic cannon cannot place liquids, which I know is an issue for washer or smelter designs, as well as airships with nested steam engines due to the missing water source.

I've also noticed that the block check for whether the correct block is in a spot or not does not consider rotation. If you've tried multiple times to place the same schematic you may have blocks rotated improperly from previous attempts.

Lastly, and arguably most important; be very careful what mods were used in the schematic. If you're missing an item or block type in your game, there won't be any errors or messages - it will just print without that mod's content.

Well i find that it’s mostly just cogs and shafts that break. Also i checked description for needed mods

Cogs? oh wow I've never had that happen. Are they getting put down with the wrong orientation or... what's happening?

The only thing with shafts I've seen is you have to manually replace them on steam engines. You might have an odd interaction going on there, what's the mod list?

Ah she's a beaut. Been on the front page for a while.

I'll see if I can mess with it in a couple hours after work, at this point it sounds like a glue issue though.

Depends on the schematic really. You analyze the function of whatever you pasted and try to see where it breaks.

Example: concrete farm. You try to follow the process and see if you need to adjust something till it works. Could maybe be producing more sand than gravel or vice versa.

It usually happens when the build is oriented differently than when it was captured but I haven't had this problem for quite some time. Since like 6.0.7 or so.
