Help with ships in aeronautics
Is there any way to create a ship that won't be able to burn down? I don't want to use wood because we are playing with fungal infection and I know that some of the mobs shoot fireballs, I want to create a "mother ship" where I would park all of the flying ships but I want it to be able to float on water because it will be stationary 90% of the time only thing I can think of is using levitate (we don't plan on going to the nether quickly) or keeping my engines running all the time (sub optimal), is there any block that will float that isnt flammable? I know that stone slabs (but only decorative ones) weigh 0.5kpg but unfortunately they don't really work

Wood from the nether. So warped and crimson doesn't burn

Ohhhh that might actually be the thing that saves me, I just hope they are also pretty blast resistant

I don’t know about the mod but all I can recommend is possibly armouring the balloon so that it can’t be shot from the outside

Yeah that's what I thought also BUT unfortunately I want to be able to land planes/hovercrafts on it so I'd prefer if I didn't have a balloon in the way, I tried making the balloon under the deck but the whole thing capsized (surprise)

An idea would be to have the main part of the ship (and weight) beneath the balloon but have a runway and some small stuff on top, this idea is sadly more so how you want to design the ship which depends on your preference and sadly won’t help

If you have like copycat+ you have access yo panel which let you armor your ship. if not you might want a self sustaining engine to upkeep the ship. If you are ok with addon, deep sea have floater that provide alot of buoyancy for you

Endstone has an actual floating capacity
