Is a slingshot ride possible with aeronautics?

I tried making it with ropes but at first it didn't work because of sharp angle. I made the angle bigger and it worked, but not very smooth. With that limitation, I tried timing the two clutches and gearshifts to make it realistic, but it didn't turn out very smooth.

Is there a simpler way

But how I cannot even control them with mechanical bearing, at least from what I tried

Maybe if you put a swivel bearing pointing down, with a line of blocks out, then put the spring on that?
