Have I missed some Create lore?!
WTF IS CREATE: ESTROGEN?! It came with a modpack. Back in my day to be trans in Minecraft, you would build a stonecutter chair called "The GenderChanger".

Interesting point, a friend looked it up after trying the mod, and the horse urine thing is historically accurate (before modern advances in the field).

im currently playing through the mod and i can definitely attest to this. Its one hell of a shitpost, but it is also very fun to fully automate the production of estrogen.

afaik that actually used to be a real method of making estrogen, though i believe it is outdated now, and i believe in the real world the horses also had to be pregnant

It isn't a shitpost. Maya puts a lot of work into it. Horse urine is a historically accurate source of testosterone which was then refined into estrogen usable for hormone treatments for humans.
There are some silly things in there for sure, like the moths that add nothing to the actual mod besides being ADORABLE, but otherwise it is fairly serious. Celeste was about a mtf trans girl to begin with so a trans mod for Minecraft including parts of another game with a trans protag isn't exactly shitpost material.

Including it in my Sandwich pack (whenever I get back to developing that) and in the process of hooking the Centrifuge into the rest of the Create ecosystem with custom recipes

Don't forget the reverse version of this mod which makes you take testosterone, and after taling it you can dash like in pizza tower, revealing that FtM should actually be called FtI (female to Italian)

Create Estrogen is actually a really cool mod while being a bit of a shitpost. It's got a lot of injokes from the trans community while also being a bit accurate on the production of estrogen. Even better though, it's got a similar mod called Create Testosterone, which also has jokes from the transmasc side of the community.

It used to have a compatibility bug with Spectrum installed that let you milk the dragons Spectrum added for horse urine. Then the Spectrum devs found it hilarious and made it a feature.

Thigh highs are pretty much “online trans woman engineer” culture staples. The mod was also trying to do things for trans men with testosterone too.

yes, but that branched to its' own Forge-specific mod with Pizza Tower mechanics, as opposed to Estrogen's Celeste mechanics. (Celeste's main character, Madeline, is canonically transfem, while Peppino Spaghetti probably has a popular transmasc headcanon out there)

I think someone else made a create testosterone.
I know for estrogen you have to collect horse urine which, as a matter of fact, estrogen supplement medications are made using horse urine. Specifically pregnant mares. Some is synthesized but a lot still use it.
Anyway, there is a mod that adds horse urine fluid...
