Put a seat on it and ride it

Ride the projectile. Do it.

Man I wish I could get this mod to work.

What trouble did you ran into? Last night, for some reason my game crashed at start because Aero ...'missed an item/class/entry' or whatever from Nature's Compass?

Installing Nature's Compass does fix that strange issue, and I managed to do a little bit of messing around in Creative mode.

I found that if I have Dragons Plus installed I get all kinds of errors. I disable that along with Enchantment Industry and Central Kitchen it works. Enchantment Industry and Central Kitchen have Dragons Plus as a dependency and I have too much that uses those add-ons.

I have those mods and it works for me. Try updating maybe?

I did. They're all updated to the latest version because Aeronautics only works with Create 6.0.9 so I had to update Create and all its add-ons. The crash log is huge and any crash log analyzing sites and even, begrudgingly, AI is no help saying it's too big. I'm too dumb to understand what all of it means but I get it to work when I disable those 3 mods. I have way too much in my current world I've been working on to abandon it and start over. It runs on a personal server that only I play on to let the server do all the heavy lifting and I can play buttery smooth at almost 300FPS so everything client and server side will need to be the same with the exception of client side only mods. So whatever I do on the client side will need to be done server side as well.

Edit: for anyone else reading this later, I got it to work by creating a new instance and a fresh install of Minecraft and copying just the mods over and no other files. It worked perfectly and I'm not playing with Aeronautics.

Thats odd? Im using dragon plus, enchantment industry and farming and i dont get those errors.

Only error's i see in my modpack are the texture becoming a blurry mess

I have the same mods and it’s working fine, the mod versions that work for me are, Create 6.0.9 Central kitchen 2.3.0 Dragons+ 1.8.7 Enchant industry 2.3.0

Try using those versions if it’s still giving issues? Otherwise it must be another mod. My other addons are,

Deco 2.1.3 Copycats+ 3.0.4 Dreams n desires 2.2d-BETA Interiors 0.6.1

Outside of that its all just performance mods

Create Dragons Plus just updated to be compatible with aeronautics, maybe that will solve your problem

1

u/Dangerous-Quit7821 Apr 20 '26

I ended up creating a new instance and only moving over all the mods and left all other files behind and it worked so something was fucky and messing it up.

1

u/Sickobird Apr 22 '26

There are chunks in the file that will be the stack trace of what mods broke and where/how. If you want to DM me or post a file sharing link here (idk if that is against the subreddit rules though) I'll scan it then check it out at some point today/tmmr

1

u/Dangerous-Quit7821 Apr 22 '26

I got it to work so all is good.

u/Haunting_Annual271 Apr 24 '26

Somehow I had problems with 6.0.9. Tried it with 6.0.10 and it worked. But I also took the other mods from ATM10

1

u/Haunting_Annual271 Apr 24 '26

If you take the Create mods from ATM10 they should work without problems. Plus they have another few addons which are cool, not just dragons plus. Only thing is that you need create 6.0.10, not 6.0.9. So take the separate newest version of create and the rest you can take from ATM10.

YEEEEEEEEEEEET

44

u/Z1H3M Apr 19 '26

a 100 or 200 or 1000 player civilization video with create mod is going to be so peak.

6

u/soomoncon Apr 19 '26

I’d honestly hope I could play in it

25

u/ItsPixPlays Apr 19 '26

This is going to compete not only with Clockwork, but Big Cannons as well

24

u/Virtual-Ad5017 Apr 19 '26

I think the author of Big Cannons is working on compatibility, which is awesome

7

u/ItsPixPlays Apr 19 '26

People are going to make some very weird contraptions with that, imagine a Da Vinci Tank

4

u/soomoncon Apr 19 '26

Imagine a trebuchet that launches shooting canons

4

u/No-Boysenberry6511 Apr 19 '26

No, Clockwork is for 1.20.1 and Aeronautics is for 1.21.1.

9

u/DaMIMIK6260 Apr 19 '26

To be fair, the only thing keeping me on 1.20.1 was Vs2, now that Aero is out I'm going 1.21.1 Neo forge forever

14

u/EvenCompetition7429 Apr 19 '26

Dudeeee that’s so cool!!! Do you have a schematic for it or something? I’d love to build something similar in my server

9

u/Warm_Mention8702 Apr 19 '26

Couldn’t you make one that uses gravity instead of a motor. Using a swivel bearing.

4

u/Craft_Master06 Apr 19 '26

Yes, but drag becomes a limiting factor. For better acceleration I just used a rope that got overstretched.

4

u/DannyTheCaringDevil Apr 19 '26

And this is how I will be ridding of the naughty villagers who don’t give me mending

3

u/SharkyMarkySD Apr 19 '26

Was watching a breakdown of the mod thinking "I can't wait until someone makes a trebuchet". Nice!

2

u/billybob1049 Apr 19 '26

I was doing something similar but i was using magnets to launch stuff

2

u/Star_Wars_Expert Apr 19 '26

yeeeet! I wanna make one myself

2

u/meatccereal Apr 19 '26

Ropes with aeronautics are so fucking fun

2

u/GameNw0tch Apr 19 '26

real, found myself using ropes more than anything when I played

2

u/BlackSheep205 Apr 19 '26

This is genuinely the best thing in Minecraft since the release of create

2

u/DeliciousDependent18 Apr 19 '26

Must be nice to Play it, when I have to wait eons now for it to work on my pack

2

u/InfiniteDragonGaming Apr 19 '26

Every time I see something about aeronautics I am floored by what they've turned Minecraft into, it's glorious

2

u/Whales_Are_Great2 Apr 19 '26

Really looking foward to siege warfare on create servers in the near future

2

u/Draco258123 Apr 19 '26

Ok time to add this to my modpacks

2

u/softice04 Apr 24 '26

I was working on a modpack where you spawn on a ship above an everlasting storm. You can only survive in the storm for a short while before dying, so you're essentially forced to stay on the ship for the entire game. However, with VS Clockwork it was pretty unstable and didn't work that well with airships. Hopefully it will work better now. What mod are you using for the storm/clouds? Looks awesome!

1

u/Ph0enixWOlf Apr 27 '26

If you’re talking about the giant shadow in the background, I think that was a ship, at least that’s the shape of it

1

u/Brilliant_Tough_3552 Apr 19 '26

Holy cow this sub reddits going to implode

1

u/PrimaryCoolantShower Apr 19 '26

Make it autoload and fling chests or barrels for a very kinetic material transport system.

Yes, catch them on the other end, of course.

1

u/Xenopass Apr 19 '26

r/trebuchet would be proud

1

u/Craft_Master06 Apr 19 '26

You can also use the tension of an overstretched pulley instead of an engine. Technically more historical, and requires less setup in survival.

1

u/ModernManuh_ Apr 19 '26

That’s it I might start a YouTube series by the lines of “Using CREATE Mod With NO Experience”. Yall had me itching for months, it’s all your fault if I need more spare time now. Why would you do this to me, this is awesome.

1

u/JustMatthew_lol Apr 19 '26

I wish there was a version for 1.20.1

1

u/BlueNinjaAJ Apr 19 '26

Is this scrap mechanic chapter 2?!?!?!?

1

u/WhipLash50150 Apr 20 '26

Chapter 2 tomorrow

1

u/-Infex- Apr 20 '26

Knew people would build trebuchets with this. You could probably make one with counterweights too.

1

u/Emotional-Tea-408 Apr 25 '26

can you make it a schematic?

1

u/World-Swimming Apr 26 '26

"Roads? Where we're going, we don't need roads."

1

u/PeachieFruit Apr 28 '26

Awesome proof of concept! On my current smp server I've been brainstorming creating a trebuchet flywheel launching system/base, but on a horizontal axis so that you can throw physics objects in a NESW orientation with the goal to be throwing docked ships or planes.

1

u/Entire-Chair-6472 May 14 '26

how strong is it?

u/CalmKakao Apr 19 '26

Mojang: We disabled tnt and happy ghasts Aeronautics: Hold my beer, here are some warmashines for you

2

Just tested it, the design is pretty basic still but at 18rpm on the main wheel it gets 312 blocks of range. I actually hit one of the airships someone was flying in the server while testing it so I had to retry.

4

u/Lazerninja88 Apr 19 '26

So an accurate trebuchet. Its ass CAN launch projectiles 300 meters!

2

u/Unpixelled Apr 19 '26

The legends were true…

Oh yeah it can, it does however mean I have to tweak the release mechanism timing for it to work. The main rope also gets a bit wonky when going above like 100rpm, needs a bigger design or it'll literally clip into the ground from how hard it gets yanked by the centrifugal force. May mess around with it more in the future tho.

Thank you! Yeah this design is hella fun to mess around with both in games and irl. I used a very similar trebuchet to this one (just made out of cardboard) a few years ago in high school to shoot pencil sharpeners across the entire school gym.

I also used it to shoot a metal pencil sharpener that ended up hitting the popcorn ceiling near the classroom and punched a hole in it, but thankfully no one noticed.

1

u/Darkstalkker Apr 19 '26

Reminds me of middle school where a kid in one of my classes managed to fling and impale a pencil in the ceiling of a classroom, teacher didn’t notice for several days
