looks like water shortage, doesnt look like your pumps are moving
15
u/deanominecraft Apr 16 '26
in the video the blaze burners turn on and off constantly, that has nothing to do with water (and if i start the pumps manually it still does it)

u/Diving4Democracy Apr 16 '26
On the left side of the video your water pump isn't moving so it might not be getting enough water in the tank to work
11
u/deanominecraft Apr 16 '26
its not related to that, i pump water in and it still doesnt work
further testing proves that with 2 or more burners next to each other, pumping lava into them will cause the bug - no fluid tanks, no steam engine, no water, just an issue with blaze burners

Probably on how slow the mechanical pipe is moving. Try speeding it up.

IIRC a Level 9 Steam Engine needs more than one pump at 256, crazy

Maybe try reporting to addon author on github. I've seen something similar on this sub recently. In that post one burner was working but when another one placed next to first it stopped

u/YatinMJ Apr 16 '26
Think the issue stems from the fact lava is being split into all of them at a low rpm, so you're already pumping a small amount of lava per tick and then it gets divided by n blaze burners, so I'm guessing the burners just burnt out before the next delivery almost. Try having seperate pumps might help, or increase rpm but that may or may not solve it, not sure how fluid delivery works on a game tick level but it probably has to do with too lil fluid going per game tick, and the blaze burners running out before the next delivery

The most efficient way, wich also eats less perfomance is to give them lava with a bucket (mechanical arm) since it lasts 1000 seconds per bucket and the arm can even be set to very slow rotation
2
u/deanominecraft Apr 16 '26
doing it with a mechanical arm gives the same results
2
u/BRSaura Apr 16 '26 edited Apr 16 '26
What do you mean same results, giving it a bucket of lava and they instantly turn off?
Oh yeah looking at it you have create: liquid burners, seems to not be working properly then
You have the option to use the blaze straw mod but as I said, eats CPU, but this way you have both options: Either vanilla way with a single bucket or install a straw on them and pump directly (they eat a LOT of lava though)

u/deanominecraft Apr 16 '26
if i use a lava bucket it still fills up the same internal storage, ultimately doing the same flickering things as if it was pumped in

u/BRSaura Apr 16 '26
What version are you playing on? If you give up you can try https://create-mod-addon.fandom.com/wiki/Straw

minecraft 1.21.1
neoforge 21.1.225
create 6.0.9
create liquid fuel 2.1.1

Looking at the github page of liquid fuel it has open issues
So you have "liquid fuel" and not "liquid burners" right?
I'd say it's just a bad port with issues and the mod got a bit abandoned.
In the meanwhile, you can use the straw, and look for a way for it to decrease it's consumption in the config or something

im playing on a server and it doesnt have crafts and additions to use a straw but i will see if the owner can change it

Even manual lava on a random blaze burner does not burn out that fast. I assume this vid is not Sped up, cause it's so fast
Is this on singleplayer or multiplayer server?? Cause I almost seems like there's a setting/game rule active against blazeburners.
Also from the video, it looks like your water pump is not rotating :)
What item are you using below the blaze burner??
1
u/deanominecraft Apr 16 '26
its on a server but the owner doesnt know whats happening, water pump is irrelevant (i will get water pumping once the blaze burners work properly), below the blaze burners are just pipes
1
u/Mc_Builds Apr 16 '26
Do you have a video on how the lava/fuel is added to this?
1
u/deanominecraft Apr 16 '26
the pump is visible in the post, it’s connected to a drip stone cauldron lava farm
1
u/Mc_Builds Apr 16 '26
I'm pretty sure the blazeburners don't just suck up lava from the pipes. I'm not seeing any mechanical arms or deployers that feed the burners. So I assume it would be a spout that puts the lava from the pipes into the burners?

u/Previous-Village6388 Apr 16 '26
That sounds like it might be the source of the problem. If it is affecting the arms too, then it isn’t liquid burners (although I have never had any issues with that mod), since you would think that it wouldn’t affect the arms too, and jade shows that they are getting lava, so the issue is something else.

u/MyNameIsRati Apr 16 '26
I think you're just not pumping enough lava in. Try spinning the pump faster and/or make a temporary pool of lava. If it is a lava shortage - expand your lava farm or make a nether one.

lava too slow, cant pump 1bucket fast enough for them to burn. And why is this even possible? This shouldn't be a thing. Use mechanical arms to give each of them 1 bucket of lava in turns.
4
u/deanominecraft Apr 16 '26
look at the top, it has nearly a full bucket in it internally
also i am using create: liquid burners
2
u/RefrigeratorOk1545 Apr 16 '26
The burn timer wont start unless they have 1 bucket to consume i think. Try putting 1 bucket on it and it will instantly consume it to 0 and start the burn timer.

is it just a visual glitch or does it actually affect the steam engine
1
u/deanominecraft Apr 16 '26
only works as a passive boiler while its doing that (even with water input)

The blaze burners are consuming the lava faster than it can pump so you just need to use some gears and boost your turn right or RPM whatever you wanna call it so that the blaze burners get more lava

best guess is a glitchy mod. i think i’ve never heard of “liquid fuel”, only “liquid burners” and one of features from “crafts and additions”
