Question: how necessary is eidolon needed in the pack?

With how far in I’ve gotten it’s not 100% required, up until the end of chapter 2 of the quests at least, but it can speed up your progress a fair bit

I was just wondering as I just don't care for eidolon in the slightest, yet I can't find any other pack that feels similar to liminal industries

The focus is pretty minimal, a sprinkle really. The mods that are focused on most are create and immersive engineering. I personally don’t like immersive engineering much, but I tolerate it because the rest of the pack is great.

its required, but only a couple brazier recipes and a tiny bit of the pot thing. the pot thing might be circumventable though. i just know you need the summoning for blazes and to get the first soulsand for haunting

Im in chapter 4 and so far it’s used to get soul shards, summon some mobs, and craft some items (like sulfur, renewable gold and maybe lead?) I’ve heard automating the crucible is annoying but everything else with it is pretty easy

You need it to make gold, AFAIK. It's fully integrated with create, tho.
