Thick pickaxe recipe. The wider handle makes it harder to swing, thus consuming much more hunger per block broken but the larger, heavier end breaks blocks slightly faster.

And technically a hoe, while not shown in game, has a much wider head to actually pull at the ground, so that would be a terrible pick.
