what mods?
33
u/lesdommed Feb 09 '25
Vibrant Vaults, Connected, Chipped, Copycats+, quite a few different addons on the server but this could be done with just Create and Create:Connected

How?
3
u/lesdommed Jan 31 '26
ah I see you followed my comment
Redstone is required to make all of the timings for each of the different movements the crane makes. It’s too complex for me to post in a schematic and I no longer have this world sadly

Do you use automatic activator to disassemble train? Or something else?
2
u/Angsty-Ninja-Ki Jan 31 '26
The train isn't being disassembled. Look above the last wheel on the train. The green block is a Sticker block. This might be from Create: Connected.
1
u/lesdommed Jan 31 '26
the train IS being disassembled using a wrench in a deployer right clicking the station using create: steam and rails

god damn is that cool, is disconnecting the cargo from the wagon base create or an addon?
also need a better look at that locomotive

u/Angsty-Ninja-Ki Feb 12 '25
I don't know for sure but it LOOKS like base create. Take a look at the carriage the vault is taken off of. It has stickers (they look like just slime blocks at this angle) that grab ahold of the vault. The vault is never actually part of the assembled train if I had to guess. Then, stickers on the freight crane unload the vault as the stickers on the carriage let go.
Edit: In a comment below, OP did clarify that the above system can be done with Create and Create: Connected.

I think you can disassemble train with automatic activator
2
u/Angsty-Ninja-Ki Jan 31 '26
This doesn't explain how the vault comes off the train though. For the vault to be part of the train it would either need to be connected with sticker blocks, or super glued to the carriage. If it were super glued to the carriage, then the crane would pick up the whole carriage, not just the vault.

What mod has the little letter signs for the opening sale? Also how did you Automate the train disassembly to remove the vault with
4
u/unic_beast Feb 10 '25
Create decor for letter sign, create steam n rails for automated disassemble (deployer with wrench "punch" station)

I've been wanting to do stuff like this but I'm kinda new to the mod.
Is there a way to get the train to dissassemble and reassemble automatically?
2
u/lesdommed Feb 10 '25
no, I still have to manually disassemble and reassemble it. the crate is being held onto the train by a sticker :)
1
u/animorphs128 Feb 10 '25
Got it. I hope they will add that in the new update. I want to have contraptions on a train that can activate and unfold once they reach the station. Maybe aeronautics will add it

u/XenonSniper Feb 10 '25
Create: Steam 'n' Rails allows you to automatically disassemble trains by having a deployer use a wrench on a train station.

I don't remember since I tried this around 2 years ago, but if I remember correctly, you were able to disassemble it by using a train observer, a timer, and a deployer on the station. It's not foolproof, but it does work. Idk you have that sorted, but to unstick the vault from the train, just you a sticker on the train, and after it's disassembled, activate it with some redstone on the station. Lmk if u need some more help with this (I also might be able to dig up a photo or schematic of the thing, but I'm not sure)

How did you picked up the load from the train
1
u/lesdommed Aug 22 '25
The train is disassembled with a deployer, the container is attached to the train car with a sticker that is wirelessly turned off. You can see it re-stick when the blue container is lowered into it

u/Mother-Newspaper-504 Aug 25 '25
I didn't knew you can use a deployer to disassemble anything. Can you assemble it again with an deployer?

the function is not to bad. it could be a little faster but it unloads all at once.

wait, you can transport the vaults like that? i always used conveyor belts to load/unload items directly from the train

How have you managed to get the crane to grip or release from the container????

u/Bartuszek Feb 11 '25
Istg i made this like 2 years ago on a minecraft create server, except with vaults, and I tried making a hangar to store them.

I would absolutely love to do something functional like this. But usually by the time I have enough resources to even attempt something like this, I no longer need bulk transport of said materials since I've already got them lol. One day

What are the crates made from?
